FPL Basics
How Does FPL Scoring Work?
Fantasy Premier League rewards players for real match actions such as appearances, goals, assists and defensive performances. Exact scoring rules can change, so managers should check the official rules for the current season.
Players earn points
Your fantasy players collect points based on what they do in Premier League matches. The rules cover areas such as appearances, goals, assists, clean sheets and goalkeeper saves.
Minutes matter
A player’s appearance and playing time can affect which scoring rules apply. This makes expected minutes an important consideration when building a squad.
Bonus points
FPL also has a bonus system that can award additional points to players who perform strongly in a match according to the game’s scoring process.
Check the current rules
FPL rules can be updated between seasons. Before making decisions, use the official Fantasy Premier League rules for the latest scoring details.
